Two white men came into the hotel where I work without any kind of method of payment demanding to get a room. OF COURSE, this happens right as I’m about to leave to go home, and I have to stay. I ended up turning them away because there was no way in hell I’m giving two random white men the benefit of the doubt that they’ll get the credit card info tomorrow. Sorry son, good faith don’t pay the bills.

So he and his silent friend leave and I can hear him cursing and yelling in the parking lot. Me and my other co worker waited inside with the woman that came to relieve us just to make sure that he didn’t come back inside.
After a while me and my co worker leave. So I get in my car to go home, and I see a red car speed up our driveway and park in the lot. I had a serious lapse in Black common sense and thought to myself, I’d better go check it out! So I go back inside and I see this bitch yelling at the night shift woman through the lobby door. She’s smart so she locked it so he couldn’t get back in. So I come up behind him like “Can I help you?”
The man looked crazy tho. I was like, am I really gonna have to fight this grown ass man right here? BUT SERIOUSLY? THANK GOD WHITE PEOPLE GET THE FEAR OF THE LORD PUT INTO THEM BY BLACKNESS.

All of a sudden he starts singing a sweeter tune. “Oh, I’m sorry for yelling, I was just really frustrated…etc etc”

Quick Roasted Asparagus with Burrata and Gremolata

Recipe from: Fork Knife Swoon

Makes: 2 Servings

Ingredients

8-10 spears of asparagus, rough ends removed

2-3 tsp good-quality olive oil and balsamic vinegar, enough to lightly coat the asparagus

kosher salt and freshly-ground black pepper, to season

1 (4 oz) ball fresh burrata cheese

For the Gremolata

zest of 1 lemon (about 1 tsp)

1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely minced

2 tsp fresh garlic, finely minced

1-1/2 tbsp olive oil

kosher salt and freshly-ground black pepper, to taste

What to do

In a mixing bowl, combine the lemon zest, parsley, garlic and olive oil. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Set aside.

Lay the asparagus spears out onto a sheet pan and drizzle on the olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Roll the spears in the oil and vinegar mixture until evenly coated, then lightly season with the salt and pepper. Roast, under the broiler for 2-4 minutes, until the asparagus is just tender. Be careful not to overcook.

Arrange the spears on a plate with the burrata, and drizzle with the gremolata sauce. Serve immediately.

Hello Tumblr users! Ever wanted to have an instant messenger feature directly in your Tumblr dashboard? Well you can. And it’s super easy. You might remember the buzz about an extension called Babblr, but forget that, because it doesn’t work. However, XIM, which is a part of the new XKit 7, does work. If you don’t know what XKit is, it’s basically a working version of Missing E, and if you don’t know what that is, it’s basically a suite of extensions and improvements for Tumblr. And I’m going to show you all how to install it. (Chrome only for now).

If you have XKit 6 or XKit Next installed, go ahead and disable them. If you don’t like Xkit 7, you can always go back to them later.

Visit the Chrome webstore page for XKit 7 and add it to Chrome.

Return to Tumblr, refresh the page, then click on the button that appears between your settings and logout button. This brings up your XKit settings.

Click on the “Get Extensions” tab at the bottom, then install any of the extensions you want, including XIM.

Go to the “My XKit” tab and configure the extensions to you liking.

And that’s it! You should have XIM open in your sidebar of your dashboard. From there you can add any tumblr user to your buddy list and IM them (note that they won’t get your message unless they themselves have XIM).
